The Tennessee Titans are on the clock with the eighth overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft. Let’s take a look at their biggest needs and how they might address them on draft day.

The National Football League wants to make its game safer. Who can argue with that? 
No one wants to see players injured. No one wants to see teams depleted and star players watching from the sideline in street clothes.
That’s why I supported the league’s efforts to crack down on helmet-to-helmet hits last season. It wasn’t perfect. It still needs a lot of work and more time for players to adapt, but it was a necessary step.
But the new rules for kickoffs? Sorry, I think the league has gone too far.

Woman charged over sports shop murder

Brittany Norwood, 28, was arrested on Saturday and will appear in court today over the death of Jayna Murray, whose body was found out the back of a Lulemon Athletica store in Bethesda, a small town just northeast of Washington DC.
Norwood, 28, had portrayed herself as another victim in the robbery-turned-murder, telling police that two masked men entered the shop after it closed on March 11.
She said the two men tried to steal money, sexually assaulted her and Ms Murray, and left her tied up in the store where she was discovered the next morning, the Washington Post

Vols' freshman F Tobias Harris playing like a pro

There's been plenty of talk about whether Tennessee forward Tobias Harris will soon go to the NBA. As far as coach Bruce Pearl is concerned, the freshman is already a professional.
Harris is serious while his teammates like to ham it up on the court; he opts to get extra shots in while the rest of the Volunteers are goofing off. That businesslike approach has helped him become one of the top freshmen in the country.

BOA in bitter row over London 2012 profits

An astonishing row over money has broken out between London 2012 organisers (LOCOG) and the British Olympic Association. The dispute has escalated to the point where London 2012 chiefs yesterday launched an attack on the BOA leadership, claiming it was abandoning the original vision of staging the Olympic and Paralympics as "one festival of sport".
The IOC will now rule on the row, which centres on the cut the BOA would receive from any surplus cash from the Games. The BOA is due to receive 20 per cent, but claims the cost of staging the Paralympics should not be taken
